My finite mind can not comprehend all of the love that He has for us.

#sharethegift has been very successful in missions all around the world.

We have been sharing the gift to everyone. It's been an incredible 9 months thus far, and I am grateful to be out 9 more!!!
This week we have been busy, busy with meetings, regular missionary work, and service.
Our lady investigator has been progressing wonderfully. She is now reading the Book of Mormon on her own, and is asking a lot more questions about the Gospel. She has been coming to church for the past couple of weeks. She loves partaking of the Sacrament. She said that it gives her peace. She is the best.

This past Sunday we had our ward Christmas program, it was wonderful! Sister Farmer Plays the Piano, and I had the opportunity to play some descant music for young woman. There are so many opportunities to teach out here in Ohio! I love, love talking to everyone about our Savior. He is the reason for the season. He is why we can all rejoice. I love what President Uchtdorf said about our Savior in this months Ensign :
"Think of the simple yet dignified way our Heavenly Father chose to honor the birth of His Son. On that holy night, angels appeared not to the rich but to shepherds. The Christ child was born not in a mansion but in a manger. He was wrapped not in silk but in swaddling clothes.
The simplicity of that first Christmas foreshadowed the life of the Savior. Though He had created the earth, walked in realms of majesty and glory, and stood at the right hand of the Father, He came to earth as a helpless child. His life was a model of modest nobility, and He walked among the poor, the sick, the downcast, and the heavy laden.
Though He was a king, He cared neither for the honors nor the riches of men. His life, His words, and His daily activities were monuments of simple yet profound dignity.
Jesus the Christ, who knew perfectly how to give, set for us the pattern for giving. To those whose hearts are heavy with loneliness and sorrow, He brings compassion and comfort. To those whose bodies and minds are afflicted with illness and suffering, He brings love and healing. To those whose souls are burdened with sin, He offers hope, forgiveness, and redemption.
If the Savior were among us today, we would find Him where He always was—ministering to the meek, the downcast, the humble, the distressed, and the poor in spirit. During this Christmas season and always, may we give to Him by loving as He loves. May we remember the humble dignity of His birth, gifts, and life. And may we, through simple acts of kindness, charity, and compassion, fill the world with the light of His love and healing power."
And in 2Nephi 19:6 " For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
My finite mind can not comprehend all of the love that He has for us. I know that He lives, and that he loves us deeply.
I love all of you! Thank you for the thoughts and the prayers.
Love,
Sister Preston

He is the Gift

This is Sister Farmer, my new Companion :) She 's from Centerville, Utah. She is the youngest of 6.

Fist of all, thank you so much for loving me. I miss all of you terribly.
We have been showing the "He is the gift" video to everyone. Less actives, to part member families. Each time that I watch it, I tear up like a little baby. I swear, the mission has made me a lot more emotional. I can still hardly believe that the time has gone by so quickly. Time just has to stop.  We had a great training this week. Elder Perkins the area 70 came to see all of the missionaries. We talked a lot about how there is literally only 30 seconds for us to share the message of the Restoration. We also discussed how all of the missionaries that are in my mission are called by a living Prophet. The Spirit in the room was so tangible. This message that we have can not be bought. We are the spokes people for the Lord. I am indebted to Him for giving me such a wonderful life. I thank Him frequently for the Friends ( extended family).
I love you so much!!
Love,
Sister Preston

Not enough time

The weather in Ohio is CRAZY!! One week we have terribly cold weather, the next week (this week) we have 63 degree weather, and all the snow melted!! Anyway, this is how the week in Powell has been:

Since I am out of time... We had a lady at church, and super spiritual experiences with other members and investigators who i can't talk about because we have to go.

Love you!

The Spirit of Christmas is definitely here

The Spirit of Christmas is definitely here! If you haven't had the chance to watch the Christmas Devotional, please do!! We had the time to watch it with our recent convert. She loved the stories, and she loved the Spirit that was brought.

We have been working with One lady more this week. She has been progressing quite well. She is extremely curious as to how she can have a sincere heart. I like the questions that she asks. It's so tender to see her come to church. She feels the Spirit so quickly, and strongly. There are moments in the lesson where things just click for her. Those are my favorite moments. Especially when me or my companions don't even have to say a word for her to understand.

I hope that everyone is having a great week!!

Love,

Sister Preston
